About

Hi! I’m Haley Neumann, an oil painter currently based in San Francisco, where I’ve spent most of my life surrounded by the color, energy, and beauty of the Bay Area.
I first fell in love with art as a kid, learning under the mentorship of Northern California artist Teri Strong. Her guidance sparked what became a lifelong passion for creating art that celebrates joy, vibrancy, and the often-overlooked beauty of everyday moments.
Though I didn’t study art formally, I earned a BA in Human Biology and Society from UCLA in 2022, and am currently pursuing my Master of Public Health at UC Berkeley. I’m especially interested in how art and public health intersect and love considering how creativity and visual storytelling can be used as tools for healing, community building, and emotional connection across diverse populations.
Through both my artistic and academic paths, I hope to explore how painting can serve not just as personal expression, but as a powerful intervention for collective well-being.
Thanks for being here :)
